In order to meet the actual needs of the international cooperation and exchange of patent examination, as well as the growing needs of the users at home and aboard, the State Intellectual Property Office of China (SIPO) recently launched the English version of the China Patent Inquiry System. This will help to further promote the dissemination and sharing of patent information and examination information by the SIPO.
According to reports, the China Patent Inquiry System, which was launched in April 2012, is operating stably in providing updated data. Meanwhile, the System has received widespread attention from domestic and foreign users with a monthly increase of access to the System and the number of registered users. In order to further improve the functionality of the System and meet the needs of the users, the SIPO launched the English version. It is said that other language version such as Spanish, French, German, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, and Russian are to be developed and launched.
The system was designed and developed independently by the SIPO. Due to its rich and complete basic information and examination information of patent applications, the users can find their required information.
