The 8th China International Patent Fair(hereinafter as the Fair) was recently concluded at Dalian World Expo Center.
The three-day Fair attracted more than 1,700 companies from 17 countries and regions, displaying over 5,700 patents.
The Fair set up six exhibition zones such as Chinese awarding patents area, international patents area, theme activities area, as well as purchasing and negotiation area. Activities included: forums on the intellectual property, hi-tech promotion conference, products-release conference, and signing ceremonies for patent transfer.
At the fair, some science and technology companies signed financing agreements with financial institutions, and a total of ten domestic and overseas companies signed five cooperation agreements on creative industry projects in fields of electronic information, numerical control, equipment manufacturing, new materials, biotechnology and so on, worthy of 350 million Renminbi yuan.
The fair first started in 2002 and was successfully held seven sessions. It has become the highest level of China’s exhibition for patented technologies. According to the committee of China International Patent Fair, a total of 8,000 companies and 70 million people from more than 30 countries and regions visited for the past 10 years and displayed more than 70,000 patents.
