According to the commissioner of the State Intellectual Property Office (SIPO) at the Patent information annual conference, patent information and the services are part of the IP strategy in China. In order to meet the different needs for IP information, the enterprises are encouraged to participate in the construction of IP information.
As China is moving towards the construction of innovative country and the IP strategy is being implemented, more attention is drawn to the creation and use of IP, the quality of IP and market value of IP. Patent information plays an important role for IP innovation, utilization, protection and management. It can help the enterprises target the research, increase the efficiency.
Because patent information is now a strategic resource to sharpen a competitive edge and enhance innovation, and due to the pursuit of a share of the international market, SIPO will use its patent information to serve the users, promote the enterprise transformation and assist the structural adjustment of industries.
