Recently, the national leading group of combating IP infringement and manufacture and sale of counterfeit and fake products released 6 hotlines for combating and reporting IPR infringement and complaints, the scope of the hotline complaint is specified.
The 6 hotlines are: Hotline “12330” is under SIPO for IPR legal aids and complaints. 12330 will receive any entity or individual's reporting or complaint on IPR infringement and violations related to patent, trademark, copyright, new plant varieties, integrated circuits, trade secret and Geographical Indications. The reporter or complainer can be non-rights holders who provides the clues of criminal acts relating to IP and rights holders who is against others in infringing their IPR rights and interests.
Hotline 12390 is under the administration of General Administration of Press and Publication and receives complaints related to IP infringement and piracy of publication of books, newspapers, periodicals, audio-visual, electronic and via internet.
Hotline 12315 is under the administration of State Administration for Industry and Commerce and receives consumers’ reporting and complaints on manufacture and sale of counterfeit and fake products and cases of infringing upon the legal rights and interests of consumers.
Hotline 12365 is under the administration of General administration of quality supervision, inspection and quarantine(AQSIQ) and receives complaints on product quality and handling adulterated products, fake products passed off as genuine, inferior products passed off as superior, and substandard products passed off as qualified.
Hotline 12360 is under the administration of General administration of Customs and is a national unified service number of customs authorities and mainly receives the complaints relating to illegal activities of trademark, copyright, and patent implementation and border protection.
Hotline 12318 is under administration of Ministry of Culture as cultural market reporting and complaint hotline and received IP-related infringement in cultural and business activities such as commercial performance, Internet, music, Internet games, Internet animation, etc.
