Recently, China issued an annual plan of promoting the protection of intellectual property. Under the annual plan, China will further develop a long-term mechanism against IP infringement and raise cost of infringement and counterfeiting.
According to the annual plan in 2012, China will further improve IP evaluation system and the examination and administration of patent, trademark and copyright, raise IP value. Formulate policies for strategic emerging industries such as energy saving and environmental protection, promote the commercialization and industrialization of IP.
At the same time, efforts will be done to make infringement a great cost and reduce the cost for maintaining the IP rights. A long-term mechanism shall be maintained in fighting against IP infringement, in particular the criminal activities in some key areas.
