At a recent workshop relating to patent analysis and pre-warning, State Intellectual Property Office(SIPO) required that more efforts should be made to improve the working level of patent analysis and pre-warning. It is required that the patent analysis should be closely connected with the industry development and more work should be targeted at the trend of the industrial development. Considerations should be given to the strategic level. Patent analysis should be regarded as a tool to promote the Chinese major areas and key technologies.
It is learned that the patent analysis and pre-warning project was first initiated by SIPO in 2011, covering fields such as vehicle fuel cell, next-generation information technology, smart grid and biological breeding etc. a Before the launching of the project, SIPO had conducted 36 patent analysis and pre-warning projects relating to China’s key industries and technologies such as LED, PV power, food security and check, etc.
