At a recent conference of Chinese patent information, Commissioner from State Intellectual Property Office pointed out that countries and governments at all levels should do more in order to distribute and utilize the patent information by the public.
It is urged that patent information, as one of the key resources in the economic and technological development, should provide strong assistance for the development of both traditional and emerging industries. Use of patent information should be in the whole process of the innovative activities of the industries. In addition, enterprises are urged to put it on its strategic agenda the utilization of patent information.
Currently SIPO plays an active role in building and improving the patent information platform so that qualified and convenient services can be provided to the public. SIPO encourages more and more industries and service-providers to get involved in order to meet the national strategy of innovative country.
