The result of China's 20 major events and cases and top 10 influential individuals in the area of intellectual property protection of 2010 was recently announced in Beijing.
It was the first time that the State Intellectual Property Office (SIPO), the State Administration for Industry and Commerce (SAIC) and the National Copyright Administration of China (NCAC) jointly organized the event. The announcement is expected to help increase awareness among the public, promote IP culture and advance implementation of the Chinese national IP strategy.
Of all 20 events and cases, the special campaign against IP infringement and counterfeit activities led by the State Council comes first. Cases cover the areas of all intellectual property such as patent, trademark and copyright. In addition, the cases not only include Chinese parties but also foreign parties. 10 individuals come from government, academic institutions, professional associations, and industries.
