Recently, the Shanghai Brand Trading Center was jointly established by Shanghai Culture Assets and Equity Exchange and the Ministry of Industry and Information in Shanghai, the first of its kind in China.
The establishment of the Center is to support the domestic SME in developing independently-created brands and solve the financing problems.
The task of the Center is to provide the brand valuation, brand protection of intellectual property, as well as brand sale, transfer and cooperation in professional services. Main products of the Center include brand licensing by listed companies, the old brand revitalization, brand integration, design and creation transactions.
The center would also organize professional organizations to evaluate brands, attract social capital and connect the domestic and overseas market as a bridge and further help SMEs establish funds link between the intangible property and capital market.
Financing innovation is said to be one of the features of the center. Different kinds of funds such as Seed Fund, Angel Fund, Industrial Fund and Channel Fund also would be provided for Chinese brand enterprises in different stages to help with their financing.
