According to the statistics from the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), China became the world's sixth largest applicant for international trademark registration this year.
Statistics show that the WIPO received a total of 39,687 applications worldwide in 2010. Among them, 1,928 came from China, up 42 percent, the second in terms of the growth of international trademark applications.
With regard to the number of domestic applications filed in China, up to now, 1.4 million applications for trademark registration had been received this year and No. 1 position was maintained for many years.
