Recently the State Intellectual Property Office (hereinafter SIPO) formulated and issued Decisions regarding the enhancement of patent administrative enforcement (hereinafter the decisions) in order to meet the demand of the special campaign against the infringement and counterfeit activities and create a sound environment for creation and innovation.
The decision provide for 18 specific measures on how to enhance the patent administrative enforcement. In addition, the decisions requires that monitor system and check system should be established for cases of administrative enforcement. Social evaluation and supervising sytem should also be set up for IP protection. Other mechanism include the talented professionals and assistance for IP in key projects, award for report the IP complaint, speed up the construction of IP complaint and assistance platform.
It is learnt that the decisions were based on the comments and opinions solicited from not only the related departments of SIPO, the local IP offices but also the social public.
