In order to reinforce the intellectual property (IPR) trial and promote the State Council's development strategy in the Economic Zone on the West Coast of Taiwan Straits, recently, the Circuit Tribunal of Patent Reexamination Board under the State Intellectual Property Office was set up in Fuzhou city, Fujian province.
The establishment of the tribunal will become the base for IP legal education and learning of administrative enforcement of patent. The tribunal will not only benefit the local industries but those industries from Taiwan. It will be based on the model of co-establishment, co-administration, and co-share so that the local development can be assisted. It is equipped with advanced digital intellectual examination platform so that the oral hearing by the Patent Examination Board in Beijing can be broadcast live to Fujian. Therefore it can be considered as a professional learning platform for the local patent administration enforcement officials.
The circuit tribunal in Fuzhou is the eighth one for patent case hearing set by Patent Reexamination Board of State intellectual Property Office outside Beijing, the others are in Guangdong, Jiangsu, Shandong, Sichuan, Liaoning and Hunan provinces.
