Recently, the Supreme People's Court announced at a press conference the top 10 cases and 50 typical cases in IP field. The cases relate to civil law, criminal law and administrative law, and they were selected by courts across China. It is said that these cases are of significant social impact and typical meaning. The collection of these cases is to further regulate the judicial acts and improve the judicial level.
These cases are also a reflection of equal judicial protection for all parties. The figures show that a total of 1369 cases relating to foreign parties were concluded as first instance cases. Of the 10 major cases, 5 cases relate to foreign parties. The cases were not only brought by foreign parties again Chinese parties, but also Chinese parties against foreign parties.
Further, theses cases define the adjudication rules for cases of new types including complicated and difficult cases.
