During the special campaign against IP infringement and counterfeit and fake products, administrations for industry and commerce across China destroyed 3,776 sites for manufacturing and distributing fake and counterfeit commodities and suspended 1629 business licenses. 59511 cases of IP infringement and counterfeit activities have been investigated, of which 9691 were related to well-known trademarks, 8610 were related to foreign trademarks and 629 were related to geographical indications. A fine of 270 million Renminbi yuan have been collected and 439 cases have been transferred to judicial authorities.
It is also learned that the leading group of the special campaign under SAIC already decided a list of 29 cases to be supervised, and these cases are related to each stage of trademark registration and protection covering the areas of food, drugs, agricultural products, etc. 16 cases were already concluded.
