Recently, the administrations for industry and commerce of 15 provincial cities signed the "IP Framework Agreement on Trademark Protection" (hereinafter the Agreement) in order to improve trademark protection through joint efforts.
According to the Agreement, a list of famous and well-known trademarks will be formulated. Irregular and cross-regional campaign will be jointly carried out. Close attention will be paid to the protection of intellectual property and the special symbols at the international events.
According to the Agreement, cross-regional joint meeting for trademark protection has been established and such joint meeting has become part of the agenda during the Directors-Meeting for administrations for industry and commerce. Within one region, efforts have been made to help the trademark owners in one region to settle the disputes in another region. The Agreement requires that the administrative agencies should issue and forward the result to the trademark owners.
