In order to implement the working arrangement by the State Council on actions against IP infringement and manufacture and sale of counterfeit and fake products, the State Intellectual Property Office (hereinafter SIPO) recently formulated the Plan for Special Enforcement Campaign by IP Offices (hereinafter the Special Campaign).
The special campaign is to improve the efficiency of efforts against the patent infringement and passing-off. Coordination is to be strengthened among the enforcement agencies to increase the confidence by consumers and innovators. In particular, the image is to be enhanced in IP protection.
A total of 7 tasks are to be arranged under the special campaign. 1. Determination is made to fight against the repetitive, collective and willful infringement of patent and passing-off of patent. 2. The hot line of 12330 is to be fully used by the public and the role of IPR Aid centers should also be strengthened. 3. IP protection at the exhibitions will be further improved. 4. Foreign-related IP will be continuously attended. 5. Coordination in cross-regional and cross-agency enforcement will be strengthened. 6. Both administrative and judicial protection will be coordinated and combined is protecting IP.
According to the Special campaign, a supervisory group will be established within SIPO to supervise the campaigns by IP offices across the country. A leading group will be set up in each local IP office which should formulate the detailed implementing plan for the special campaign.
