It is learned from the theme activities held during Expo 2010 Shanghai that both China and Europe desired that cooperation in IP arena should be further strengthened.
According to Commissioner of State Intellectual Property Office, there has been a good tradition between EU and China in the area of IP cooperation. Such cooperation is expected to be further developed into a higher level. In particular, the innovative activities in China and Europe will be encouraged and a better environment for IP should be created for industries to protect the innovation.
The Director of European Patent Office praised the development and change of China in patent field in recent years. China is becoming more and more important in the international IP arena. People are drawing more attention to IP in China. SIPO is now one of the five big offices in the world.
SIPO and EPO has cooperated in many aspects including personnel training, patent examination and management, automation, exchanges of documents and information service products.
