This year is 25th anniversary for the implementation of IP cooperation between China and EU. Recently, relevant departments from the two sides held activities in Shanghai Expo Park to jointly witness the achievement gained by cooperation in IP field in the 25 years.
According to SIPO, China and EU gained fruitful results in the field of IP, including personnel training, patent examination, automation, patent documentation. It is proposed that both sides should further promote the cooperation in national innovation activities and create a better IP environment for enterprises.
The statistics show that, in the first half of 2010, more than 1000 patent applications were filed to EPO by Chinese applicants, 30% up compared with the same period of last year; and there were more than 14,000 patent applications filed to China by EU applicants.
