Recently, at the World Investment Summit organized by the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development, the State leader from China delivered a speech showing to the world that Chinese government has been trying hard to improve the legal environment for protecting IP. The purpose is to create a more efficient and favorable environment for shareholders and IP rightholders in their investment in China.
Measures include an open and transparent legal environment, fair and competitive market, stable and orderly business environment.
It is learnt that in 2008, China instituted the Outline of the National Intellectual Property Strategy and put IP protection as first priority in the national strategy. For 5 consecutive years, China had launched campaigns for protection of IP. China will continue to improve its market system, remove the market barrier, maintain the market order and protect the investors and their benefits.
