Recently, Jiangsu Provincial Department of Finance and Intellectual Property Office made a joint decision to provide a special fund of 12 million Renminbi yuan as investment to support the IP projects of the enterprises.
The 2010 special fund includes 60 newly established projects such as new materials, new energy, medicines, digital information, mechanical manufacturing, textiles and chemicals from over 60 enterprises in 36 cities in whole Jiangsu Province. The fund shall be mainly used to establish patent information database so as to conduct the patent technology analysis, formulate the IP strategic plan and develop the IP culture within the enterprises.
In addition to the fund from the government, additional 070.91 million Renminbi yuan was set up by those 60 enterprises involved in the IP projects.
