Recently，Guangzhou Municipal Intellectual Property (IP) Inspection Team, Municipal Copyright Office and the IP Offices in Yuexiu and Tianhe and Haizhu Districts carried out a series of joint enforcement actions for protection of the IP rights of Asian Games.
The actions were targeted at the toys, boutique and gift markets. Investigations were carried out in some busy commercial areas, especially some key streets and commercial centers. Main efforts were made in the investigation relating to the IP rights of Asian Games and related franchising. A total of 2,120 shops and over 6,300 commodities were reviewed or examined.
The team also works with Guangzhou Municipal Administration for Industry and Commerce and the Branch of Administration for Industry and Commerce and IP Office in Tianhe District in regulating the advertising boards and seized over 100 commodities of fake patents.
