Recently, the first China International Door Industry Exhibition was held in Yongkang city of Zhejiang Province. The organizing committee of the exhibition promulgated the Provisions for the Protection and Administration of IP at the First China International Door Industry Exhibition (hereinafter the Provisions) in order to increase the awareness of the exhibitors for the protection of IP and maintain the legal rights of the IP righthoders and traders.
Under the provisions, a complaint center was set up to handle the IP disputes. The relevant parties are required to cooperate with the administrative enforcement officials and judicial agencies. Once a decision is made in an infringement case, the party concerned should remove all the products suspected of infringement. The organizing committee shall make a public notice and a record on those infringers. If the party is found to conduct infringing activities twice, such party shall be forbidden to attend the next exhibition.
Members working in the complaint center were from quality supervision bureau, science and technology bureau, administration for industry and commerce, and culture department.
