In order to carry out "the Outline of National Intellectual Property Strategy", the State Administration for Industry and Commerce (SAIC) started the selection of trial cities and enterprises for the implementation of trademark strategy in 2009. Upon recommendations of the local AICs and Stated-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission (SASAC), 53 cities and 41 enterprises were selected as the first group for implementing trademark strategy. Accordingly, there selected cities and enterprise will be provided the national preferential support. The local government will strengthen the guidance and service for these trial cities or enterprises to promote its innovative capability and core competition.
Further, the AICs will also provide services such as trademark registration statistics, consultation and assistance in protecting their trademark overseas, on-line registration of trademarks.
